About This Spot

Stepping into Little Phillies in Covington feels like finding a corner of Philly tucked into the heart of Georgia — a casual local eatery where the hum of conversation and the inviting aroma of grilled onions and melting cheese set a welcoming tone. The pace here is easygoing, punctuated by the satisfying sizzle of cheesesteaks being prepared fresh to order, and the friendly banter between staff and regulars adds a warm, familiar rhythm to the room.

The atmosphere is unpretentious yet lively, a place where neighbors and newcomers alike come together over hearty, crafted sandwiches that are anything but ordinary. While the menu offers plenty to explore, it’s the thoughtful balance of flavors and textures that truly defines the experience. Imagine biting into a warm hoagie layered with savory steak, the sharpness of melted provolone, and the gentle kick of hot or sweet peppers — each element blending into moments of comfort and delight.

Sides like crisp tater tots and golden fries make perfect companions, offering that satisfying crunch that keeps you coming back for more, while inventive twists, such as teriyaki lemon pepper chicken or honey garlic fingers, add a touch of surprise to familiar favorites. This isn’t just about filling up; it’s about savoring small, flavorful moments shared over a meal.

What stays with you beyond the food is the human element — the genuine care in the kitchen and front of house, the nods to tradition paired with subtle creativity, and the camaraderie that draws friends and families back again and again. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite with colleagues or settling in for a casual meal with loved ones, Little Phillies offers a grounded, satisfying experience that feels both comfortably local and authentically genuine.

That special sauce! Teriyaki lemon pepper tenders will melt in your mouth. Can’t go wrong with this menu! Specialty sandwiches will have your mouth watering! Don’t miss out on this local spot.

Went here with some work friends. It took a little bit to get the food, but they were jam packed, which is a good sign. Food was fresh, tasty, portions were great. I got the itis. 10/10 will go again.

This place is Fantastic! My son took me here for lunch. Had a Philly custom made by the owner. Great people, great food, good value. Wish it was closer to home and I would be a regular!

If you’re looking for a spot that’s authentic, this is the place. The food has amazing flavor. The bread is the right consistency. The onion rings and Tater Tots are fried to crisp perfection. To top it off, the people that work here are great! My daughter loved it, and she’s a hard critic when it comes to food. This was our first time eating here but it won’t be our last.

Haven't been here in a few years. But my business trip had me stop in today, and it's like I never left. The cheesesteak was hot hot hot and juicy. Everything is made to order. Was full for the rest of the day!!
